The Oregon Food Bank collects food from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, individuals and government sources. We distribute that food through a Statewide Network of 21 Regional Food Banks and approximately 970 partner agencies serving all of Oregon and Clark County, Washington.

Omaha Against Hunger is a volunteer-driven effort to package and distribute a highly nutritious dry food formula around the world through feeding programs, orphanages, school, and clinics. Locally, the meals are distributed through food pantries and food banks, throughout our community.

To provide emergency and supplemental food to the people in need in Nebraska and western Iowa.
Our volunteer hours are Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the third Tuesday of each month from 5-7 p.m. and the fourth Saturday of each month from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Vetshouse, Inc.

Vetshouse, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides housing, food, clothing, counseling and other assistance to homeless veterans of the US Armed Forces to facilitate their return to gainful, independent, responsible and productive lifestyles. The goal is to bring awareness to the Hampton Roads of the current plight of the 2500 homeless veterans in our community. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is the largest independent conservation organization dedicated solely to saving the Bay. Serving as a watchdog, CBF fights for effective, science-based solutions to the pollution degrading the Chesapeake Bay, its rivers & streams. Their motto, “Save the Bay,” is a regional rallying cry for pollution reduction throughout the Chesapeake’s six-state, 64,000-square-mile watershed, which is home to more than 17 million people & 3,000 species of plants & animals.

Many Helping Hands – Homeless Ministry

Our Mission Statement: Many denominations of churches uniting to meet the needs of Irving’s homeless through clothing, hot meals, and spiritual guidance in order to demonstrate Christ’s love and compassion. We have 10 Churches that work together to feed the homeless and provide basic needs such as Hygiene, blankets, clothes, shoes and an occasional bus pass. We serve a hot meal every Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Downtown Irving. We have a schedule and each church feeds every other month. We serve an average of 45 people each Thursday. we have a winter event and a spring event which we give out clothing to Irving’s needy families as well.
