In 2 short hours your group will package 10’s if not 100’s of thousands of meals to be distributed back in to the local community for children and families deemed food insecure and hungry. Gabriel House of Care

Gabriel House of Care is an extended-stay hospital hospitality house that offers affordable, temporary lodging to adult organ transplant and cancer patients coming to our area for extended medical treatment. Gabriel House provides affordable lodging and supportive Integrative medicine programs in a community environment. Located on the west campus of Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, we are close to the beaches and to Town Center. The average stay of guests is 6 weeks for cancer patients and often up to one year for transplant patients so the house becomes their source of emotional support throughout their journey. We have served over 5000 patients and caregivers since opening in 2011. Gabriel House is an independent non profit organization supported by donations from individuals, businesses, civic and faith organizations as well as corporate and foundation grants.

Stray Rescue of St. Louis – Puppy Cuddling/Merchandise Sales/Donations

Stray Rescue believes that any animal which can endure the horrors of living on the city streets deserves to be medically rehabilitated and found a loving home regardless of cost. We operate two no-kill shelters and save approximately 800-1,000 dogs annually. 100% of our adoptable animals will go to their forever home regardless of how long it takes to find it. Stray Rescue has cleared out entire dog packs in many St. Louis and East St. Louis neighborhoods. Stray Rescue’s mission is to lead the way towards making St. Louis a compassionate city where every proceed will go to the care and wellness of companion animals. PUPPY CUDDLING – Attendees can recharge by soaking up the love and energy from Stray Rescue puppies who will receive belly rubs from convention goers for a donation to Stray Rescue of St. Louis. MERCHANDISE SALES – Attendees will be welcome at the Stray Rescue booth, where people can learn more about the organization and the animals they rescue, rehabilitate and adopt. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. Stray Rescue merchandise will be available for purchase. St. Louis Dream Center – Food Ministry

The St. Louis Dream Center, an outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries, is a thriving, multi-cultural, urban church that is literally changing the face of the St. Louis community. The St. Louis Dream Center exists to restore hope into the lives of hurting people within the city of St. Louis. More than 30 outreaches weekly to meet the needs of children, seniors and homeless individuals including a food pantry that currently provides 70,000 meals per month, a clothing boutique that gives out more than 500 outfits per month, a soup kitchen that presently feeds approximately 300 people each day and an after school feeding program that ensures 500 kids will have something to eat for dinner during the week. There is also a residential treatment program for men over the age of 18 who are struggling with life-controlling issues such as drug and alcohol addiction. Meeting/Convention attendees are offered the opportunity to volunteer in the food pantry, soup kitchen or after school feeding program.

Great Rivers Greenway District

Great Rivers Greenway is a regional parks and recreation district created by a vote of the people to connect the St. Louis area. They are making St. Louis an even better place to live by building “The River Ring”, a 600-mile network of greenways and trails throughout the region so people can be active, get around town and enjoy being outside. This project will engage volunteers in stewardship of the Riverfront Trail located in the Mississippi Greenway. This trail offers access and spectacular views of the Mississippi River which is the largest river system in North America. In addition, this greenway provides floodplain habitat and is an important flyway for migratory birds. Volunteer efforts will focus on beautifying and enhancing the ecological value of this greenway. Depending on the season, the District will engage volunteers in litter pickups, graffiti removal, monarch garden maintenance, habitat restoration and flood cleanup.
