St. Bernard Project (SBP) is an innovative, award-winning non-profit serving vulnerable families, senior citizens and disabled residents struggling to recover from the devastation and trauma caused by natural, economic and man-made disasters. Over 40,000 SBP volunteers have rebuilt 430+ houses for hard-working American families.
Impact: Since 2006, SBP has rebuilt homes for more than 1,170 families with the help of more than 150,000 volunteers in New Orleans, LA; Joplin, MO; Staten Island, NY; Rockaway, NY; Monmouth/Ocean Counties, NJ; San Marcos, TX; Columbia, SC; White Sulphur Springs, WV and Baton Rouge, LA.
Project Availability:
Volunteer Responsibilities: You will literally help rebuild a family's home. This may include hanging insulation or drywall, mudding/spackling, sanding, texturing, priming, painting, laying floors, and/or hanging trim, doors and baseboard.
