The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas (RMHC CTX) is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and families. The Central Texas Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comforting “home-away-from-home” for families to stay so they can fight their child’s illness or injury together. Our Happy Wheels Carts stroll the hospital hallways bringing complimentary items to families waiting by their child’s hospital bedside. RMHC CTX also supports families who have lost a child through the Healing Hearts program, which provides burial assistance and bereavement support.

Impact: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, we can help lessen the burden for thousands of Central Texas families each and every year.

Project Availability:

Volunteer Responsibilities: 1) Prepare a meal - volunteers cook a meal for the families staying at the House. 2) Clean the House - volunteers help clean the common areas, hallways and playrooms of the house 3) Host a Wish List drive - volunteers collect and donate items (toiletries, snacks, laundry supplies, etc)
