Gleaning is our most popular volunteer activity. When we glean, we go into a field to pick any produce that is left behind after harvest, but is still healthy, fresh, and edible. The food that we harvest helps us feed the hungry and we get to educate the public about the work that goes into getting food from the farm to the table
Impact: We are not only providing fresh, edible produce to those who are in need but also assisting in combating food wasting by gleaning the fields and removing viable produce for our food bank participants to enjoy.
