Until there’s a cure, the vision of Desert AIDS Project is of healthy individuals, families, and communities, despite the existence of HIV. Since 1984, D.A.P. has strived to bring this vision to life because the mission of Desert AIDS Project is to enhance health and well-being.
Impact: The Desert AIDS Project, with help from Revivals, offers an amazing array of client services from its Palm Springs campus, including case management, primary and HIV-specialty medical care, an HIV-specialty dental clinic, food and housing support, Eastern medicine alternatives, in-house lab services and pharmacy, mental health and substance abuse programs, a full-service community center, and much more.
Project Availability:
Volunteer Responsibilities: Revivals Stores: Cashiers, sorting, floor management and display. Special Events Assistants help plan and support D.A.P. staff during events like Desert AIDS Walk, Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, and Dining Out for Life. Office admin (Data entry, research, word processing and filing). Food depot (Packing, sorting).
Attire: Closed toe shoes must be worn in all volunteer positions. May require a volunteer shirt depending on the event.
