The Bike Project continues to work to improve access to bicycles for everyone through Open Shop, Earn-a-Bike, and maintenance classes. In addition to serving as a hub for sustainable and equitable transportation, the Bike Project also serves as a social learning space that promotes youth mentorship, community building, and mechanical intelligence.

Impact: The Community Bike Project Omaha provides a safe, positive environment for the repair and distribution of bicycles. Ways to contribute: Donate-a-Bike, Volunteer

Project Availability:

Volunteer Responsibilities: Volunteers are needed to assist with bicycle repairs and to serve as role models for youth participants. No bicycle knowledge is needed, just a willingness to learn! Prior knowledge of bicycle mechanics is a plus, but we also love teaching people!
