Business Volunteers Maryland has the capacity to coordinate donation drives (back to school, holiday, winter clothing, etc.), as well as organizing logistics and management of volunteer projects and activities with nonprofits throughout Baltimore.
Impact: Since Business Volunteers' inception in 2003, we have connected more than 175,000 individuals from local businesses and the community at large to volunteer and board opportunities. This has resulted in more than $25 million of time and talent being infused into Central Maryland.
Project Availability:
Volunteer Responsibilities: The volunteer responsibilities would vary depending on the nonprofit selected. Typical volunteer projects include: sorting donations; preparing and/or serving meals; weeding, mulching, and landscaping; planting trees or removal of invasive species; cleaning and facility maintenance, and many other options.
Attire: Typically, organizations request that volunteers wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
F&B Provided for Volunteers: No
Option to Move Project to a Different Location: The project size would be dependent on the number of volunteers and the specific project. The increased number of volunteers leads to the need for increased space. Budget for supplies is sometimes required for onsite project.
