Description:

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, a member of the Feeding America network of Food Banks, is the largest private domestic hunger-relief charity in the state – providing enough food to feed more than 116,000 hungry Oklahomans every week, 37 percent of which are children. One in four children and one in six adults struggle with hunger, never certain where their next meal will come from or if there will even be a next meal.

Impact: Each week the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma sends out enough food to feed 116,000 hungry Oklahomans and volunteers process 18% of the food we distribute!

Project Availability:

Volunteer Responsibilities: Volunteer Center shifts include work like: Bagging and boxing food products Assembling food kits for programs like Food for Kids and Senior Feeding Sorting, weighing, and boxing donations Tagging bags Cleaning

Attire: Comfortable work clothes and closed-toe shoes.
