Description:

Be a role model for NYC youth! Learn how you can volunteer in a Junior Achievement of New York “JA in a Day”, and help connect classroom learning with real world experiences through hands-on, activity-based programming. As a volunteer, you’ll be leading an age-appropriate JA program that covers important topics on money management, career preparation, and entrepreneurship. You can help local students learn success skills while inspiring them to stay in school and achieve their goals. All training, lesson plans, and colorful teaching materials will be provided. The teacher will also remain with you in the classroom to help manage the students. As a volunteer, you will inspire students to believe in themselves and motivate them to succeed. You’ll also give them a fun, high-energy day that will make a lasting impact!

Impact: Volunteers will work directly with New York City youth to help empower them to be successful. JA programs introduce students to the world of business, help them to build basic money management skills, and reinforce the value of staying in school.
