Irving Cares is dedicated to identifying and providing Irving residents with temporary assistance and training to promote self-sufficiency. Our philosophy is to apply a hand up, not a handout. Irving Cares was organized in 1957 by a group of citizens interested in the social welfare of the needy people in the community.
Impact: An average of 889 families each month get assistance from our food pantry, and eighty-three cents of every dollar raised goes directly to client services. We make a difference in the lives we touch, and we provide clients with services in a respectful and dignified manner without regard to race, color, sex, age, handicap, religion or national origin. There's so much you can do to help us make a difference.
