Description:

Dining Hall – Food Pantry and Lunch

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-12:30 pm
Assignment: Set up and break down Food Pantry. Assist community with selecting food.
Prepare and serve lunch to residents.
* JCOC will provide all ingredients and products to prepare and serve meal.

Dining Hall – Food Pantry
Schedule: Saturday, 10:00 am-1:00 pm
Assignment: Set up and break down Food Pantry. Assist community with selecting food.

Dining Hall – Dinner
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00-7:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday & major holidays, 1:00-4:00 pm
Assignment: Prepare and serve dinner to residents and the community.
* Group will need to provide all ingredients to prepare meal as well as all paper products.

Dining Hall – Breakfast
Schedule: Saturday, 6:00-9:00 am
Assignment: Prepare and serve breakfast to residents and the community.
* Group will need to provide all ingredients to prepare meal as well as all paper products.

Hot Chocolate (fall/winter) Lemonade/Iced Tea (spring/summer)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:30-6:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday & major holidays, 1:30-3:00 pm
Assignment: Prepare and serve a beverage to the community as they wait outside for dinner.
* Group will need to provide beverage mix and cups. JCOC will provide water.

Snack Bags
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30-6:30 pm and Saturday-Sunday & major holidays, 2:30-3:30 pm
Assignment: Prepare and distribute snack bags to residents and the community after dinner.
* Suggestions: sandwiches, chips, cookies, granola bars, fresh fruit, juice boxes, and water.

Collection Drive
Schedule: Varies based on group’s availability
Assignment: Hold drive to collect items for our residents and the community.

Game Night/Arts & Crafts Night (Happy Hour)
Schedule: 3rd Wednesday of every month, 7:00-8:00 pm
Assignment: Provide game night or arts & crafts night for our residents.

Cleaning Crew/Painting Crew
Schedule: Varies based on group’s availability
Assignment: Provide routine maintenance of residential facilities and education building.

Thrift Store
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 am-7:00 pm, Saturday, 10:00 am-7:00 pm, Sunday, 12:00-5:00 pm
Assignment: Sort and tag donations, hang clothing, and organize items on shelves.

Impact: The mission of the JCOC is to empower homeless families and individuals to recover from crisis situations and return to being self-supporting, productive, and independent members of our community. COC offers second chances to people in crisis. Our mission is to empower homeless families and individuals to recover from crisis situations and return to being self-supporting, productive, and independent members of our community. We provide individual and group counseling, housing location and financial assistance, educational resources and employment services so that clients have the best chance to obtain permanent housing and sustainable employment. Most importantly we serve as advocates and support system to help our clients transition out of crisis and into a new life.
