Description:

Projects with Habitat Kent can range from framing a home to installing door knobs in a nearly finished home. We work with individuals and groups, and can use anyone with any level of experience. We provide any necessary tools and supplies.

Impact: In seeking truly transformed communities, Habitat Kent views bringing people together not only as a way to deliver a product—improved housing—but as an essential process for building hope and believe that healthier communities are achievable and beneficial for all. When we work together, statistics become faces with names, stereotypes are broken, and everyone has the opportunity both to give and receive. Only then is lasting change likely to occur.

Project Availability:

Volunteer Responsibilities: Volunteers are responsible for bringing a lunch and an open mind ready to try new things.

Attire: This is an active construction site, closed toed shoes are required. We work year round, so plan to work inside and outside, with layers and clothes that can get dirty.
