Giving Good

Volunteers dish out the food and also pour beverages for our guests once they are seated. Meals start at 7:30 am (Breakfast), Noon (Lunch) and 6 pm (Dinner).

Children’s Activities:
Spend time with the children at one of our emergency safe shelters, Transitional Housing, or Counseling office leading structured activities during adult support group sessions and life skills classes.

Thrift Store:
Assist store staff in receiving, sorting, tagging and displaying donated goods for sale at one of our thrift store locations. (Grand Prairie or DeSoto). Store hours are 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Hold a Supply Drive:
Hold a drive for one of our two emergency safe shelters. Necessary items include paper goods, cleaning supplies, bedding, household items and baby needs.

Adopt-A-Room:
A group can adopt a room at one of our two emergency safe shelters. You would provide needed items such as bed linens, pillows, and wall décor. Your group can paint and decorate a room to give it a fresh new look to make the family feel safe and feel like home.

Adopt-A-Playground:
Calling all businesses, organizations, and sorts teams! Help restore, and rehabilitate our playgrounds for our kids! It is our goal to provide an exciting and fun environment for our youth and teens to enjoy.

With more than 2.6 million visits a year, the 10-mile hike-and-bike trail is Austin’s most recognized and popular recreational area.

But the Trail is more than a great pathway—it is a place where Austin thrives. For many citizens and visitors, it represents the best Austin has to offer: outdoor recreation; a scenic, natural environment; and a diverse, vibrant mix of people.

Keep Knoxville Beautiful’s mission is to promote litter eradication, recycling, and beautification efforts in Knox County communities using education, events, and volunteer engagement.

Hosting a blood drive with the Red Cross is a partnership. A Red Cross representative will work with you every step of the way to help make your drive is a success. Helps recruit donors within the organization

The Rose offers school field trip shows Tuesday through Friday during the school year. Ushers are needed to help unload buses and escort school groups to their designated seating areas within the theater. During the show, ushers help to answer questions ranging from bathroom locations to emergency procedures. Ushers must be at least 16 years old or accompanied by an adult.

The Wahine Purpose: Allow access to girls in the sport of surfing who would otherwise not have the opportunity. Focus on ocean safety and ocean recreation. Provide education on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle thru exercise and good nutrition. Promote positive self esteem thru the participation of sports.
